Pouring Latex

RM750.00Price
  • Limited Edition of 10

The images shows a part of the daily yield of a rubber plantation worker. The process of tapping rubber begins in the early hours of the day and ends typically in the afternoon. These latex are collated and send to a processing plant. The process of collecting latex is an older method and is not common now as the method of cogulating the latex directly in the collection cup is more efficient. Pictured partly is a female Malaysian Indian plantation worker pouring the latex, depicting the important role played by Malaysian Indian women in the industry.
